Steve comes to Temple Sinai from Furlong, Pennsylvania, where he was the Religious School Director at Temple Judea of Bucks County for the past 29 years. Steve is a former chair of the Philadelphia Jewish Principal's Council and Bucks County Jewish Principal Council. Under Steve's direction, his former Temple Judea participated in the NESS (Nurturing Education in Supplementary Schools) Program and the Havayah Program established by Gratz Hebrew College and Jewish Learning Venture of Philadelphia, formerly Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education.

These programs provided enhanced instructional models for participating schools as well as increased professionalism and curriculum development.

Educated at Temple University and Northwestern University, Steve holds a Master's Degree in Educational Administration as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education. He also holds a teacher's license from Gratz Hebrew College.

Steve and his wife Sarah, a teacher who works one-on-one with children with dyslexia, look forward to the new challenges and opportunities here at Temple Sinai. Steve may be contacted at. sweintraub@sinaisrq.org.
